What is Spinal Flow?
Spinal Flow is a gentle, non-invasive technique that works with your nervous system to help release stored stress from the body. It focuses on restoring communication between your brain and body so your body can do what it was designed to do – regulate, adapt and heal.
Using seven gateways and 33 access points along the spine, Spinal Flow helps identify where physical, emotional and chemical stress may be affecting your nervous system. Rather than chasing symptoms, it works with the body to address what may be contributing to them.
Who created Spinal Flow?
Spinal Flow was developed by chiropractor Dr. Carli Axford after years of working with people experiencing chronic stress, pain and nervous system challenges. Through her clinical experience, she developed a technique that supports the body's natural healing intelligence by encouraging what she calls the Spinal Flow Wave.
How does Spinal Flow work?
During a session, I use gentle contacts on specific access points along your head and spine. These contacts encourage your nervous system to respond by creating a Spinal Flow Wave, helping your body release stored stress and tension in its own way and at its own pace.
As your nervous system begins to feel safer, it can move away from survival mode and into a state where rest, repair and regulation become possible. Many people notice they feel calmer, lighter, more connected and more like themselves after a session.
Every body is different, and every session is unique. Your body knows what it's ready to work through, and my role is simply to listen, support and create the space for that process to unfold.

Identify Stored Stress
We begin by locating where your body holds physical or emotional stress—known as 'blockages.' By identifying these patterns, we start the shift from 'wired and exhausted' to true alignment.
Access the Spinal Wave
Through respectful, gentle touch on specific access points, we invite your body to initiate its own healing wave. This expands your breath and allows for a deep nervous system reset.
Restore Lasting Resilience
Moving beyond surface-level self-care, we rebuild self-trust from the inside out. You leave our Hamilton studio feeling grounded, steady, and reconnected to your body's natural flow.
